Advertising Terms
Please note that some listings have specific
terms and requirements. Those terms are listed with the
Advertising Options.
Please
note: As of Sept 1, 2007 I will only accept banners, buttons and pluggies
in the following sizes:
125x125 (or similar) must be 15KB or LESS
468x60 must be 25KB or LESS
Plug Buttons (88x31) must be 5KB or less.
The sizes of the
buttons and banners that I have been receiving has gotten totally out of control
on size, due to people wanting to do "special effects" with them. This causes
HUGE file sizes. I will no longer accept images over the above stated sizes. If
your banner or button does not fit those sizes, then please fix it before you
send it. If you need me to do it I will do so for a charge of $5 per button or
banner.
These
terms were modified and are in effect as of January 31, 2007,
We will not accept adult sites, sites
that promote racism, violence or hatred. We will also reject sites that promote
any one certain group, affiliation or segment that rejects anyone on the basis
of religion, political affiliation or race. If you are a group/business/site
that has material or LINKS TO or has rejected anyone on the basis of the above,
then please do not submit your site.
If you are a work at
home mom that sells adult products, then your site WILL be marked with a
warning. If you do not want it marked with a warning, then please do not submit
it! We will not accept sites that have adult products on the HOME PAGE! NO
EXCEPTIONS!
All listed sites must be for a real business/boutique/store that actually sells
a tangible product and you MUST link back to us if at all possible. If you have
and maintain your own site, you are REQUIRED to provide a link back to us.
If you are an “affiliate” (someone who just gets a small percentage of the profit
from a sale, simply for having a link on their site), then we will not accept
your link. You must actually sell something or do something for the company you
are representing. “Get-Rich-Quick”, and other types of “Business Opportunities”
where the product or opportunity is not immediately obvious on the main page of
the site will NOT be accepted. We reserve the right to reject ANY site, for ANY
reason and without benefit of explanation. If you are a Representative for a
Direct Sales Company (Such as Avon, Watkins, Etc.) and do not have your own
site, then it is NOT a problem! You are welcome to list with us! Please tell
others about us, or add us to your signature line in order to help promote the
whole site! Let's all help each other out!
Please be aware that
we will only accept one representative from any one company, UNLESS you have one
site where you list and promote ALL your businesses. For example let's say Jane
is a rep for XYZ company and she buys a listing to promote just that company.
Then Sarah comes along and she too is a rep for XYZ, BUT she is also a rep for
several other companies. She has built her own site to promote all of her
businesses, using her own domain name etc. In this case will will gladly list
Sarah's own site as well. If you are unclear on this, please use the Contac Link
above to ask! If we have a rep for a certain DS company listed in the directory,
then we WILL allow a different rep to list in another area of the site, however.
So if you see your company represented on the front page, but not in the
directory, then you may still have the listing in the directory.
We also accept WAHM sites that provide advertising and resources for WAHMS/Women-Owned
Businesses, as
long as they too are WAHM/Woman-owned. This site is to help promote MOMS and
WOMEN in business.
No locked groups will be accepted. If you provide advertising or business
resources for WAHMS/Women then your site may be included. "Link Farms" or sites set up
for just affiliate links are NOT legitimate resources!
We do not accept sites that have pop-ups. Period. This would include any site
hosted by a free account such as Bravenet or Geocities, or any site that has
pop-up traffic exchanges. These are useless and are a pain to visitors. Please
do NOT submit ANY site with pop ups of ANY TYPE!
If you have a “mouse-trailer” on your site, this makes it nearly impossible for
me to surf. The trailing image often blocks the link that I need to click to see
the rest of your site. If you have a mouse trailer then you should be aware that
you may be missing a lot of business. I have moved on and purchased at sites
that do not have them, and if I do that then you can bet that others do too. If
I cannot surf your site, you may not be listed. You should consider removing it
from your site.
***All links are listed with 24-48 hours. If you do not see your listing after 48
hours, then please use the contact link above to drop us a line.
***NOTE: Modification as of March 7th, 2008.
Due to an issue, I am amending the above statement. I am making a note of it
here so that I cannot be accused of making changes after the fact.
MOST links are posted within 24-48 hours UNLESS
there is an unforeseen circumstance preventing me from doing so. I DO normally
take the day off on Sundays and an occasional Saturday. If you purchase an ad at
the end of the week, please give me until the first of the following week to get
your ad posted. You will NOT lose ANY advertising time. Your ad starts the day
it is POSTED, not the day you PAY and will always run approximately 1-3 extra
weeks after cancellation. For example, if you purchase an ad on the 13th of the
month, and the following month you cancel it on the 11th, your ad will NOT be
removed on the 13th (your monthly anniversary).
It will normally run until the last day of the month giving you several more
days/weeks than that for which you have paid.
Broken links and images will be removed from the site without benefit of refund
for any remaining time that you have paid. We also check your site for our link
often to make sure you have us listed (if it is possible for you to do so) and
to make sure our link is working.
Shop With a Mom does the best that we can to make sure that submitted sites are
legitimate and family friendly. We also strive to meet a very high standard in
product quality on the "Product of the Week" showcase. However, we cannot and will not be responsible
for any content, actions, or material contained in any site that we list; nor
can we be responsible for product quality, timely shipping, customer service or
anything else related to your transaction with any of the businesses featured in
the showcase. We are
not responsible for any transactions, agreements, or products & services that
are provided to anyone by the owners of the sites that we list. If you are
unhappy with any site owner that is listed on this site, then you need to take
that up with the owner of the site. If you feel that any site has violated our
Listings Policy in any way, then please let us know so that we may review the
violation.
Many of our advertising options are set up on recurring payments, or
subscriptions. Please make note of the date your payment will be due each month
so that you will have money in your Paypal account.
If your PayPal payment is rejected upon initial sign up, then you must resubmit
your site. If your monthly/yearly subscription payment is rejected your site
will be removed immediately. If you choose to discontinue your ad, then your ad
will run until the scheduled end date. Any non-recurring fees more than 10 days late will
result in the removal of your ad. You will need to resubmit your ad to get it
re-listed. Chronically rejected and late payments may result in a set up fee if
you wish to re-list an ad that has been removed.
Your privacy is very important to us. All information, such as name, addresses,
phone numbers, email addresses and any and all other personal information that
you submit to Shop with a Mom will not be sold, rented, transferred or given to
any other third party.
Violations of any terms listed may result in the removal of your site without
notice or the benefit of refund. We retain the right to remove any site that we
feel has violated our terms, without prior notice that we are doing so. If the
owner of the site, is on a “Subscription Plan” then the plan will be terminated
and no refunds will be given for any amount already paid. By submitting your
site, you agree to the above terms and any changes in those terms that we may
make during the time that you have a listing with us. Review them often. You
also agree that by using this site, that Shop With Mom.com is not responsible
for any loss or damage, neither are we in any way responsible for any
agreements/transactions between you and any of our advertisers. If you have a
legitimate complaint about any company that is listed, please submit it for
review and we will consider removing them. Also, if you find a broken link or
image, please alert us and we will remove them.
We DO NOT tolerate any abuse of any of our advertisers, or abuse to the owner
and agents of Shop With a Mom.com itself. Derogatory comments in emails, on
message boards, or in groups could result in legal action. If you have a
complaint, then you need to email the owner of this site, not post your
complaints all over the internet.
I'm sorry, but we do not give refunds for any reason, unless an error has been
made by us. Please read all important info BEFORE you buy a listing!
